Robinhood announced a special New Year’s giveaway Wednesday as part of its HOOD holiday event, and Bitcoin was among the standout prizes.
The commission-free trading platform handed out $1.5 million worth of BTC to users, along with a lineup of luxury goods including a Porsche 911, a Rolex Daytona, and a Hermès Birkin bag.
Launched on December 26, the campaign featured limited-time surprises over several days, with each drop offering new rewards to participating users. Crypto prizes in this campaign were not limited to Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP were also available.
Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev today concluded the HOOD Holidays by revealing a total of $7 million in gifts to Gold members. He also hinted at several new product launches planned in the coming months.
“Look out for the great products we are developing and launching in the coming months. We think you will love what we have in store,” Tenev said.
