Popular Solana-based memecoin launchpad Pump.Fun has restored its live streaming capabilities to 5% of users after the suspension period due to backlash against disturbing and inappropriate content aired during some streams, co-founder Alon said Friday.

The platform implements a new content moderation policy to clarify which content is permitted and which content passes through the line.
The updated policy is intended to suppress any actions that could put users at risk and to protect the Platform from illegal or harmful content.
The new rules prohibit violence, harassment, sexual exploitation, child danger, and illegal activities. Pump.Fun also outlines a solid stance on privacy violations, including DOXING, and confirms cooperation with law enforcement in cases of criminal content.
At the same time, Pump.Fun states that unsafe for work (NSFW) content is not permitted by default, unless it is classified as one of the prohibited categories.
As mentioned in the documentation, “many content” on that platform can fall into that category, and Pump.Fun makes case-by-case decisions about what’s appropriate.
Pump.Fun’s team “reserves the right to unilaterally determine the appropriateness of content as needed and to mitigate it accordingly.” This means that users may encounter adult themes, but the moderation team may have the authority to intervene when necessary.
Violations may result in termination of streams and account termination. Users can appeal to content removal through Pump.fun’s support system, but the platform maintains ultimate discretion in policy enforcement.
Pump.Fun stopped its live streaming capabilities last November after extensive backlash against harmful and abusive content broadcast on the platform.
The platform faced serious criticism after users broadcast violent threats, self-harm and explicit acts to manipulate token values.
