The Moscow exchange says it will launch a fund that will track one of the world’s largest Ethereum ETFs just weeks after it debuted its Bitcoin Index futures offering.
Russian media outlet RBC confirmed the plans by Maria Patriqueeva, managing director of the Moscow Exchication Derivatives market, and said the Ethereum (ETH) fund will debut in August.

Moscow Exchange: Ethereum Fund to be launched in August
Patrikeyeva said the exchange “will begin trading futures contracts for funds investing in Ethereum.” She explained.
“The underlying assets of the fund are the BlackRock-Run Isshares Ethereum Trust ETF. Its estimate is equal to the cost of one share in the fund. The contract size is slightly smaller than the IBIT (ISHARES BITCOIN TRUST ETF).”
The Ishares Ethereum Trust ETF traded with New York-based Nasdaq Exchange and was launched in July 2024.

Exchange cultivates crypto keene
The exchange has become increasingly bullish with crypto this year, launching its first Bitcoin (BTC) futures contract on June 4th.
This product is still restricted to qualified investors. It is held in cash in the ruble and tied to the value of BlackRock’s ibit etf.
The exchange continued last month with claims that the launch of a new BTC derivative instrument is “immediate.”
It also awaits regulatory approval for planned launches of mutual funds and structured bonds focused on the CryptoAsset index.
Patrikeyeva added that the exchange will launch more futures products than next month.
Another product tracks American investment funds that invest in US government bonds, Patriqueeva explained.
She said the assets underlying the futures contract will be Treasury debt (TLT) for more than 20 years.
This is the first future contract on the Moscow Exchange that tracks the dynamics of US debt securities.
Patrikeyeva confirmed that Moex is set to debut futures offerings for Chinese tech giants Tencent and Xiaomi this week.
Both Tencent and Xiaomi are currently trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
The Post-Moscow exchange, which launched the Etha-Tracking Ethereum Futures Index Fund, first appeared on Cryptonews.
