Several meme coins have posted notable gains over the past day.
The surge in Bitcoin prices that began at the beginning of the year continued over the past 24 hours, with the asset hitting a multi-week high of just under $92,000.
Many large altcoins are posting even more impressive gains each day, including ETH, which has regained resistance at $3,100, and XRP, which is close to $2.10.
BTC Eyes $92,000
After ending 2025 in the red for the first time since the halving, Bitcoin started 2026 on a strong note, quickly rising from $88,000 to nearly $91,000 on Friday. It faced immediate rejection there and fell to $89,300 on Saturday morning as reports of an explosion in the Venezuelan capital broke.
Interestingly, BTC started to regain momentum once the US confirmed that it had successfully carried out a military mission in Venezuela and captured the president. A few hours later, after President Trump addressed the nation, Bitcoin rose further, approaching $92,000 this morning for the first time since mid-December.
Despite stopping there, it is still trading above $91,000, representing a weekly gain of 4.2%. As of now, the company’s market capitalization has soared to $1.825 trillion. However, its dominance over altcoins has declined over the past week, dropping from 57.7% to 56.9% on CoinGecko.
BONK returns to top 100
Most altcoins have once again recorded significant gains over the past 24 hours. Ethereum decisively regained the $3,100 level, with a daily gain of 1.4%. Ripple’s XRP is close to $2.10 after rising 3.5%. BNB is near $890 and TRX is almost $0.30, while SOL, ADA, and BCH have seen even more impressive gains.
Dogecoin rose 7% to well above $0.15. Other meme coins also joined the trend, with PEPE and SHIB increasing by double digits. BONK re-enters the Top 100 Alternatives after a massive 30% rally.
Trump-related tokens, including WLFI, are also going green every day. The market capitalization of cryptocurrencies increased by $60 billion every day, bringing the total value to over $3.2 trillion.
