Japanese AI company Quantum to acquire 3,000 BTC in a trade agreement with us

Major cryptocurrency assets are strong competitors in the financial strategies of various companies and are now recognized worldwide in the corporate world.

With increasing uncertainty in the major economy due to various political and macroeconomic conditions, BTC remains a “safer” alternative for now, at least.

Another player in the game

The Japanese-based AI-focused company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange’s Quantum Solutions Co. is the latest addition to public companies that have adopted the Bitcoin financial model.

The shared press release outlined an initial plan to raise $10 million (¥1.48 billion) to buy assets, along with its ultimate goal of accumulating up to 3,000 BTC over the next 12 months.

The board had stipulated that the company’s subsidiaries would launch new businesses focused on crypto investment.

The company is currently assessing how investments will affect finances for the fiscal year ending February 2026, so the exact way to acquire capital has not yet been determined.

The company further said in a news release:

Amidst the continued yen depreciation and increasing international financial uncertainty, Bitcoin investments and holdings have gained importance among globally listed companies and institutional investors as a means of diversifying assets, mitigating currency risks and hedging against inflation.

Investment businesses are promoted under several key policies.

  • Buy and hold Bitcoin for long-term value
  • Constant monitoring introduces implementation stages for acquisition volume and retention ratio
  • Price fluctuation risk and cybersecurity measures including risk management strategies

Japan’s economic situation and trade contracts

The shift in bitcoin sentiment and adoption by many companies comes at a time when Japan’s financial instability and crashing bond market.

Kobeissi’s letter noted that the government bond yield for 40 years reached a high of 3.375%, suggesting that the market for this asset class is losing its value.

Furthermore, the measure of demand, the bid ratio of demand, fell from 2.214 to 2.127 at the last bond auction, marking the lowest participation level in 2014. The trade agreement between the US and Japan may have raised further concerns announced earlier this week.

Japan is being cooperated to restore American industrial power as it has been directed to invest $550 billion to revitalize several major US industries, including energy production, semiconductor manufacturing, mineral mining and more. The US holds 90% of its profits from this investment.

A 15% flat tariff on imports has also been introduced. At the same time, monarchies are required to increase import quotas and purchases of various goods from the United States, including energy, vehicles, and aircraft.
